Breathe In Machine
A forthcoming philosophical sci-fi novel. My goal was to create a story which could reflect life under an uncaring intelligence, one which is neither positive nor negative in outlook, intelligent yet possibly not sentient, and whose goals we cannot comprehend. For some, the world represented within it is a utopian or religious ideal, for others, a self-inflicted nightmare. Based purely on this work one beta-reader branded me a techno-sceptic on her podcast, make of that what you will. Please feel free to check out the page for it here.

Cars
Thanks to an irrational market cars are not merely a means of transport. Instead they reflect the priorities of the society which built them, and the individual who chose to own them. This is particularly true for older, pre-globalisation models. I have a special fondness for 70s/80s/90s models from Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Saab, and Mercedes-Benz, and find great satisfaction in taking unloved cars from these brands, which may otherwise fail their next safety inspection (MOT in the UK), and rejuvenating them for another owner to cherish. In 2024 I am looking for: SAAB Sonett III, Busso-powered Alfa Romeo's.
